What's up with Indigo?

Firstly, Would like to point out that of all the 4 threads in the Dispute section, all 4 point to this one moderator, Indigo.

That is disgusting. The member was trying to be friendly by saying his thanks, instead you called it pointless, then deleted it and left your message there which is ever more pointless and off topic than his. You could've said it in a private message at the very least.

If the administrators expect for this site to grow, it will need users to feel happy and comfortable to post something. Personally, I don't want to post anything at fear that Indigo will ban me for not using a capital letter in the title or something.

You really need to decide, do you want this community to become successful and a highly talked about website, or do you want to keep just one friend at the cost of the community growing bigger than a handful of people contributing.

Shady, you need to put yourself in a users shoes here. How do you think Indigo makes your community look to newcomers? They view a thread and see this guy with no idea what it is he's doing, and yet he's a part of the staff here.

Maybe i haven't been here long enough to have an opinion on this. But as far as I am concerned, he wasn't being that bad. saying 'ty' can be considered spam by some. If your gonna say thanks. There is a LIKE button for that.

From the time I joined, which I know hasn't been very long I guess. I haven't seen indigo..be a bad moderator. I mean, hell, im really new, but he hasn't even remotely been rude to me. If he was being rude to somebody, he might have had good reason to do so. I don't know.

- I just read those posts, about his infractions. To be honest, one of them, yeah its kind of bad, but the others? Whoever got infracted. Deserved it.

Also like I said in the beginning. Maybe i haven't been around long enough to get a good opinion. But from what I've seen so far, hes doing his job. and people are just butt-hurt about it. You dont have to agree with me obviously, just voicing an opinion.

Is 'disgusting' behavior? You guys are over reacting. Being disgusting, would be like being a completely arsehole to that guy, which he wasn't. And he was given a warning, which doesn't count against the guy or anything.

If you understood the rules, you would know that just saying 'thanks' is considered general spam. I could have infracted him, but instead I deleted the post and gave a verbal warning.

Also, about your accusation about all four disputes being towards me is ridiculous. Only one of the four was an infraction that I actually gave wrong, the one towards oblivious. The warning to cyqnusnite and the infraction to lollzert were both fair, so they stayed. It is not my problem they disputed a fair infraction, in the end, none of the two were reversed.

If I had not deleted the post and given him a verbal warning, I'm sure another moderator would have. Because, if I just sat there and did nothing about it, I wouldn't be doing my
job.

It seems only redblo0dx understands the rules on spamming. I never said his attitude was disgusting, but making one entire post saying 'ty' is considered spam, so I deleted it and gave him a verbal warning.

I don't mean to sound full of myself, but I know the rules better than you, the proof is in this thread. If you actually knew the rules well, you would understand that I did the right thing. Note that other people who know the rules well such as SMOD 'loopylukas' are backing me up...oh wait, what's next, Loopy doesn't know what he's doing either? Give me a break. Tell me what I did wrong, because as far as I'm concerned, nothing you've claimed against me is so far valid.

saying thanks and not clicking the like button is considered spam and what he was saying was not disgusting he was just informing the user of what he did wrong and then got rid of the spam.

All he did was inform of what to do next time, then told him/her how to do it. Because sometimes the like button is hard to find. He then stated what happened. So when other people

read the thread they'll know not to do that. First day I was here I said Ty for the post. I was infracted. But who cares? points are points and usually points give you good things.

Anyways Indigo is a good mod devoting his time to shadygamer he should be thanks not

Exactly TimeZoned, I was doing my job, it's what I am supposed to do.

Indigo is a moderator. He is supposed to give consequences or warnings to a member if they did something against the rules. As everyone else said, TY is considered spam because there is no use for that post. Just click the like button. I understand you are fairly new, but personally i think Indigo is great at doing his job (though i get some verbal warnings...)

Well im the guy that wrote the ty. actuly i perviously wrote in that post how to use ripe. but when i went over the post again i saw he wrote on how to use it. so i was looking for the delete post button. since there wasn't one i wrote ty instead.

This is another Shady should add is delete your own post function.

I personally believe that indigo was just in doing his job, however it did come off as slightly rude, but barely. And definitely not worth an entire thread over. :/

The only thing he could have done better is be a bit politer in case king or anyone who does that was not spamming but indeed, being polite and completely unaware of the TAC for rules of the site... Even then it could only have gotten slightly better.

Now, don't get me wrong. That IS a violation whether or not anyone knows before posting and indeed before you sign up here you get the check box for "Have you read this?". It's therefor not really a reason to prosecute Indigo unless it's extremely rude. :\

I was doing my job, I don't see where I am being rude.
