I just bought a new laptop and W7 was already installed on it....

The laptop is acting awefully weird and sometimes very slow at opening certain things....

I think its like that because other then W7 more pgms were installed on it...

Now should I reinstall W7 on it or no??

Me personally, I would format the computer. That way, I know whats on it, and no extra BS is installed on it, like companies like to do with their laptops/desktops.

The BS the stock laptops now come with are usually a bit useful in the long run. They can contain files that you need to track your laptop if stolen/lost etc. What you can do though is disabling all/most startup programs and that will give you a nice quick boot. Later, you can uninstall unwanted programs like hp manager in hp laptops, etc. But usually stay away from formats especially if it is a laptop. Unless a gaming rig modded by yourself which would need to reformat by default.

At the same time you cant have a laptop with 1gb ram and 120gb hdd and expect it to be fast because those are made for portability.

Also, do not confuse reformatting with re installing windows. Though they typically do the same thing, reformatting can be done locally with no disc and you can format and place new drives.

Reinstalling Windows involves getting a new windows disc and starting the windows OS installation over again. This will REFORMAT AND REINSTALL WINDOWS. At this time you can format and place new drives too.
