Forums Policy:

ShadyGamer discussion forums are open to anyone who wants to discuss and deliberate on related ShadyGamer content, including ShadyGamer's announcements, rules, policies and all other relative subjects. Registration is required to receive full benefits of the forum.

Our policy is to keep these forums open for honest discussion. We do not remove posts that are critical to the discussion of any topics mentioned above, but we do remove content we find indecent, offensive, malicious or unrelated to the purpose of these forums; we also remove posts that seek to criticize or promote a third party or services provided by another site. Administrators and Moderators have the sole right to deem what is, and what is not with in the guidelines provided to uphold our policy.

Shady makes our Forums available for your use on this Web site subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this document. By accessing the Forums contained here in, you agree to the Terms of Use.

Any and all warnings and banishment are solely dependent on the severity of the situation and repeat offenses. Appeals are welcomed but any permanent banishment goes without question. See List of Consequences at the bottom of the page.

Modifications:
ShadyGamer may modify these Terms of Use any time and such modifications will be binding on you when published on our web site.

Terms of Use:
By participating in the Forums and ShadyGamer associated pages, you agree to these following rules.

1. User name:
-Do not make a user name similar to a Admin, Forum Moderator, or Developer.
-Do not make a user name containing profanity, racism, or any objectionable material.

Breaking Rule 1 Punishment:
Permanently Banned, Allowed to re make another Account.

2. Third Party Violations:
-Although we do allow you to discuss hacks that aren't exclusive to ShadyGamer, we do NOT allow links pointing to other sites of similar content to ShadyGamer.
-Do not post links leading to other sites similar to ShadyGamer's content, or post virus, worm, spy ware, or malicious code hosting sites.
-Do not post advertisements, chain letters, junk email or bulk communications.
-Do not use ShadyGamers' domain name as a pseudonymous return email address for any communications that you transmit from another location or through another service.

Breaking Rule 2 Punishment:
Minimum: Warning
Maximum: Temporary Banned (Length of ban will depend on staff member)

3. Signatures:
- Only one image allowed in Signature! *Hint* Utilize the Spoiler Tag for more
- Your total Signature height should not be larger than 150px

- The site will automatically hide the content in your signature that exceeds the height limit.

- No pornographic/racial/vulgar content in your signatures

Breaking Rule 3 Punishment:
Minimum: Verbal Warning
Maximum: Infraction

4. Intellectual Property Infringement:
- Do not post tutorials and hacks or any other material without giving full credit.
- For hacks and tutorials infractions will be given if credit is not given, or virus scans are not provided.
- Do not use the Forums to upload, post or otherwise transmit any content that you do not have a right to transmit to the public under any law.
-Do not forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin.

Maximum: Temporary Banned (Length of ban will depend on staff member)

5. Mini-Mod:
-Do not go around saying this should be Moderated or trying to do a Moderator's job. Moderators are there for a reason, if you wish to become one apply for the position.
- There is a report button. Use it.

Breaking Rule 5 Punishment:
Minimum: Warning
Maximum: Infraction

6. Malicious intent:
- Do not upload, post or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
-Do not post, upload, or display any content meant to maliciously affect any member, staff member, or person.
-Do not post any material that is obscene, defamatory, racist, violent, harassing, profane or otherwise objectionable.

Breaking Rule 6 Punishment:
Minimum: Infraction
Maximum: Permanently Banned

7. Personal Information:
- Posting any person's identifying information is strictly illegal.
- Posting the contents of any private conversation without consent from all parties involved

Minimum: Temporary Banned (Length of ban will depend on staff member)
Maximum: Permanently Banned

8. Posting Etiquette (Racism/Flaming/Profanity/Spamming/Harassment/Improper Speak):
- Any use of racism, offensive racial slurs or racial profiling will result in severe punishment.
-Spamming classified as excessive posting of any kind, use of characters, and/or irrelevant posts of any kind.
- Posting in improper English, any language other than English, l33t speak, excessive and incoherent slang, or any excessive uses of characters, letters, and symbols. Except in the permissible forums are these violations not allowed.
- Do not make a post to bump threads. We have a "bump" button that you can use every 48 hours to bump one of your threads.
- Act in any manner that negatively affects other users' ability to engage in real time communications.
- Off-Topic | It is common for a minor amount of off-topic posts to be overlooked, however, the general rule is the thread/post should be relevant to the forum/thread it is being posted in.

Minimum: Warning
Maximum: Temporary Banned (Length of ban will depend on staff member)
*Exception: Firepit, Your own profile, Private Message*

9. Bypassing Word Block:
- Using any profanity or bypass the word block in any way, including using characters, symbols or other languages is not allowed. For example using the characters "l)" to form a "D" while **** is acceptable.

Maximum: Temporary Banned (Length of ban will depend on staff member)

10. Leaking Exclusive Hacks:
- Leaking exclusive ShadyGamer hacks is not allowed, if we find out that you are leaking our exclusive hacks, you will be IP Banned from the site. You should also know that leaking hacks will result in it being patched faster. So its best to keep our hacks exclusive to our community.

Breaking Rule 10 Punishment:
Minimum: Temporary Banned (Length of ban will depend on staff member)
Maximum: Permanently Banned

11. Making Multiple Accounts:
- You should not have or use more than one Account, unless allowed by an Administrator.

Breaking Rule 11 Punishment:
Minimum: Most used account receives infraction, all other accounts Permanently Banned
Maximum: All Account Permanently Banned

12. Scamming other Members:
- One cannot scam other forum members, severe punishment will be served if proof is provided.

Breaking Rule 12 Punishment:
Minimum: Temporary Banned (Being Processed)
Maximum: Permanently Banned (Proof Provided)

13. No Trolling/Flamming:
- Trolling/Flaming other members is frowned upon at ShadyGamer, please stay away from it. The following punishment will be served if user feels insulted.

14. Anime and Downloads:
- ShadyGamer serves as an online database for Anime, it does not host any Anime or other copyrighted materials on its own web servers.
- If any owner is bothered by any material, please notify the uploader, instead of ShadyGamer, it will automatically be removed from ShadyGamer once it is removed from its original location.

15. Link Shorteners with Ads :
- Use of any link shortening site that has ads, such as adfly, is not allowed.

Breaking Rule 15 Punishment:
Minimum: Warning
Maximum: Permanently Banned
*Exception: Your Own Profile, Private Message, Entertainment and Downloads Section, Monetization Section, and on your own GMS Releases*

16. Staff Related infractions:
- Impersonate any staff members in any manner.
- Under no circumstances will anyone disrespect any staff members. Both violations will result in severe punishment.

Breaking Rule 16 Punishment:
Minimum: Infraction
Maximum: Permanently Banned
*Exception: Firepit, Private Message* (Staff may still choose to warn/infract members on special cases)


17. Chatbox / Shoutbox Etiquette:

- Any use of racism, offensive racial slurs or racial profiling will result in severe punishment.
-Spamming classified as excessive shoutbox messages of any kind and use of irrelevant characters.
- Posting in improper English, any language other than English, l33t speak, excessive and incoherent slang, or any excessive uses of characters, letters, and symbols.
- Act in any manner that negatively affects other users' ability to engage in real time communications in the shoutbox.

It is very common for a minor amount of shoutbox etiquette to be overlooked. However, if a user repeatedly breaks these rules, they will be permanently banned from the shoutbox.



Exceptions in Visitor Messages and Private Messages are only valid if participating members have no problems with what is said.

Member of the Month

• A member who holds the title of MOTM cannot apply for any staff positions.

User Rights:
- All users are Innocent until proven guilty
- Users can dispute their punishment in the Dispute board
- Can notify any Admins about Moderator behavior/unfairness

Staff Members

The Trial Period
- A trial period lasts for approximately 2 weeks
- An Admin can decide to prolong/shorten a trial period if he / she find it necessary to do so.
- Being on trial is meant for you to show how good of a staff member you can be.
- You are not guaranteed a staff position after your trial period ends.
- When your trial period ends, you will be judged again to see if you can handle your staff position accordingly.
- If you become inactive for more than 3 days without a reasonable explanation, your trial period will end automatically.

18. Staff Members Breaking Rules

- This rule applies to any staff member specifically moderators.
- A staff member is not immune to the rules stated above, and must abide by them.
- When a moderator is demoted normal member rules and punishment apply.

Breaking Rule 17 Punishment:
Rules are broken three times: Verbal warning
Rules are broken three times again within one week: Demotion for two weeks
Rules are broken twice within the first week after reinstatement: Permanently Demoted

Administrator's Authority:
- An Administrator can dismiss any rule above!
- An Administrator reserves the right to give any punishment
- Any Stickied thread in any section by an Admin can bypass any of these rules.

Content of Information

You are responsible for the information or material you put on the Forum. The postings express the views of the author, not necessarily the views of ShadyGamer. ShadyGamer does not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message.

If you feel that a message is objectionable you can contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and will make every effort to do so within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. ShadyGamer may also terminate access for users if found repeatedly posting offensive content.

Limitation of Liability

In no way will ShadyGamer be held liable for any damages done to a user, whether verbally or physically. We do not reflect the views of any user or any other company, Game(S) or Person(S). Any losses or damages due to user discussions and actions will not be reprimanded by ShadyGamer that extends beyond banning and deletion, as seen fit by ShadyGamer staff.
